LL has over 35 years in the semiconductor industries, from design engineering, platform technologies, marketing, business operations and chief executive for technology start-ups until a brief retirement in 2016. LL began his career at Intel that spanned 18 years on microprocessors, microcontroller architectures, network and communications technologies and as a general manager for Communication Infrastructure Group, He was a member of the Intel team that developed the original Universal Serial Bus (USB v1.0) technology and was involved in pioneering software defined networking (SDN) technologies. He was instrumental in setting up the first design center for 8-bit microcontrollers in Penang (1991) and subsequently initiated the second design center for advanced network processor design (2001) while managing several hundred millions USD business operations for Intel Corporation. He holds one US patent in Universal Serial Bus technology.
With varied interests, he has served on technical advisory, academic board, and a guest lecturer for the technopreneurship workshops by The International Science, Technology and Innovation Center for South-South Cooperation (ISTIC), under the auspices of UNESCO held in Africa, Middle East, South America and Caribbean countries in 2010-2017. He sits on the board of public listed and private companies, and non-profit organizations.. He is now serving a statutory body under the Penang State government, since 2017.

Currently, he is also the COO of BlueChip Venture Capital Fund who focuses in investing in local IC design companies in semiconductor industry.

Kalai Selvan Subramaniam has more than 34 years of experience in the electronics/ semiconductor industry, holding leadership positions in Technology Start-Ups and Tier-1 Semiconductor MNCs.
His career began at Motorola Semiconductors, where he spent over a decade working in Austin, Texas and Singapore. Kalai then pioneered the IC design capabilities for embedded and security memory SoCs at a Malaysian startup called My-MS. Following this, he spent over ten years at Intel Corp. in Oregon and Penang, holding various leadership and management positions.
Kalai holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and a Master of Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He's a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and actively contributes to its Malaysian section and chapters.
Kalai served as Chair of the Malaysia IC Design Association (MICDA) and continues to participate in national electronics industry development forums and committees, particularly those focused on advancing the fields of semiconductor and electronics design. Kalai also lends his expertise by serving on the Industry Advisory Panels of several local universities.
